Welcome to Let’s Be Millionaires, a website, a blog, and a community for people who want to make the most of their finances.
I am George Robertson, a mensan, a recent graduate of the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, and someone with an insatiable desire to make their first million dollars.
Personal finance has always been a passion of mine. Let’s Be Millionaires is a way for me to share that passion and try to help as many other people as I can on their personal journeys to a million dollars.
When It All Started
Back when I was 12 years old I was lucky enough to receive $10 a month as allowance. This $10 quickly started looking small when my older brother picked up a gig as a dog walker. It was at that point that I decided I wanted more income. I looked around me for opportunities and ended finding them. I wrote a letter and distributed it to all of my neighbors.
So began my first business. I essentially offered a trash and recyclables valet service, all for the low price of $3 a week with the extra service of mail holding (who wants to deal with USPS mail holding when they vacation?) for $1 a day.
While I didn’t make a killing by any means, this experience taught me that I was perfectly capable of finding and seizing opportunity if I just took the time to try.
Now I fill my free time either working as a private tutor (see Working For Varsity Tutors), or writing content for this blog!
How To Get Started
In order to help people visualize their personal finances and set quantifiable goals to improve them I developed The Hierarchy of Personal Finance Needs.
My goal is to help my readers climb this hierarchy as quickly as possible.
You’ll want to take advantage of everything I plan to offer by subscribing to my blog. New subscribers will receive the Let’s Be Millionaires Budgeting Made Easy checklist, as well as access to my complete list of personal investment holdings.
Welcome to the Let’s Be Millionaires community!
